MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi’s much-awaited family drama “Anupamaa” went on-air on July 13. The USP of the show is its simple yet relatable storyline and impressive performance by the cast.
The show has already won accolades from all corners, including acclaimed filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya. Recently “Maine Pyar Kiya” director messaged Shahi and praised him for making such a heart-warming emotional show. Actress Madalsa Sharma Chakraborty made her television debut with this show as Kavya and she is thrilled to know about Sooraj Barjatya's reaction. Interestingly both Madalsa and her mother Sheela Sharma have a great working association with Rajshri Productions. Madalsa’s second hindi film was Samrat & Co whereas her mother has done three films with them Nadiya ke Paar, Abodh and Hum Saath Saath Hai.

“My mother has done some excellent work with Rajshri. In fact, I still get messages for my mom’s performance in Nadiya Ke Paar as Rajjo. Barjatya’s have actually seen me growing in front of their eyes. When I was doing Samrat & Co with them I had some great memories on set. I remember we were shooting in Film City and my birthday was celebrated there on the sets. Barjatyas are the warmest people from the industry. They are extremely humble and you will feel comfortable with their company. The on set environment is so good that not only the actors even the whole crew feels special.” Madalsa feels that’s the best compliment she could have asked for. “I was so happy to know that. Rajanji has always kept the family values, emotions and traditions alive with his shows. So there is a strong connection. When your show is being praised by a maker like Sooraj Barjatya you feel really special.”
