MUMBAI: Actor Imran Khan and his wife Avantika Malik are making headlines for a couple of days now after reports of their separation surfaced on the Internet. Having spent years together, they reportedly separated in May 2019, and while neither of them has confirmed or denied it, Avantika often makes cryptic posts on social media. Avantika Malik is quite active on social media and frequently shares affirmations, quotes, and posts about love, life, and more.
This time around, Avantika Malik took to her Instagram stories and wrote about the process of healing. Her post mentions that one’s healing happens only by feeling, and not by smoking, drinking, or sleeping it away. The post read, “Sit with it. Instead of drinking it away, smoking it away, sleeping it away, eating it away, f*cking it away, running from it. Sit with it. Healing happens by feeling.” She further added a GIF on the post that read, “I am healing.”

A few days ago, Imran Khan’s close friend Akshay Oberoi revealed that Imran has quit acting, and that he might take up writing and direction as his career choice. Avantika Malik’s father and Imran's father-in-law, Ranjev Malik also confirmed the same, and while speaking to the leading media portal, he said that one of the issues between Imran and Avantika was that he wanted to leave acting while Avantika wanted him to pursue it.
Imran Khan and Avantika Malik dated each other for many years before tying the knot in the year 2011. They welcomed their baby girl Imara in 2014.
