I am happily settled with my parents : Sangeeta Ghosh

The biggest surprise that Zara Nachke Dikha has in store this time is undoubtedly the return of Sangeeta Ghosh. Ghosh who had been missing in action since Viraasat, is back with this show on Star Plus. The biggest surprise that Zara Nachke Dikha has in store this time is undoubtedly the return of Sangeeta Ghosh. Ghosh who had been missing in action since Viraasat, is back with this show on Star Plus. And if the launch press conference was any indicator, she is all set to rock the stage with her new look, ever confident persona and seductive charm. The actress who made a move to movies with the much talked about Bhanwra, was completely off the radar after the film failed to hit the screens. She was lying low on the social circuit and had not taken up any serials too. Though she was seen in a cameo in Bidaai, Zara Nachke Dikha is her full-fledged show. “When I went for the shooting for Bidaai I was really moved seeing the reaction of everyone on the sets. People were so happy and excited that I had returned to TV. That made me feel special and wanted. I am happy that I made the decision to return,” says Ghosh, beaming. But what happened to the much-hyped film? “I have no grudges against anyone and do not regret doing the film. All of us involved worked very hard and we are still very positive about the final outcome. Dharmesh Darshan is a very talented filmmaker and he did a great job with Bhanwra as well,” explains the pretty, carefully weighing her words. Unfortunately, the wait for the film’s release coupled with lack of good roles kept her away from the public eye. “I could have taken up the roles that were offered to me but there was nothing exciting especially since I had done Virasaat,” she says, adding, “I have always put quality before money, which is why you have not seen me work in too many serials. I always listen to my heart and I feel whatever I have achieved today is because I have listened to my heart,” says the pretty actress. So what made her choose Zara Nachke Dikha? “When I was meeting the producers for this show, my mother told me that she would love to watch me on this show and so would viewers who had not seen me for a long time. That kind of tilted my decision in favour of doing this show. I was also excited about the format,” explains the actress who has traded her beautiful long hair with a new look. Ghosh is the senior-most contestant in the girls’ team. How does she feel about the competition between boys and girls? “I am a girl so I will obviously be biased! Though I appreciate the boys’ talent, the way a girl dances is much more graceful. I feel this whole battle of the sexes is a fun concept and should be taken sportingly. I have a father and a brother at home, so I understand their point of view as well.” What about settling down in life? She simply smiles before saying, “Parental pressures are always there. All parents want their children to get married and settled in life. But I am happily settled in life with my parents!”
