MUMBAI: Most of our inspiration stems from Bollywood films. From parties to fashion, no one knows how to have fun as much as our celebs, even on the big screen. As we celebrate the ongoing wedding season, we're taking a trip down memory lane and looking back at 10 of our favourite Bollywood films and wedding scenes that fill us up with love, laughter, and happily ever after.

The classic movie of Hum Apke Hai Kaun? with an ensemble cast is everyone's favourite. A family entertainer that revolves around love, family bonds, friends, laughter, and the hope to cope with a tragedy. One of the main turning points of this film is Renuka Shahne's wedding to Monish Behl. The entire sequence is filled with emotions that beautifully depicts all the ceremonies with a lot of fun. Whether it's Salman Khan's adorable candour or Madhuri Dixit's killer dance moves, this wedding has set the standard high for all of us.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was a fun, entertaining film that starred the gen-next of Bollywood. After a lot of planning, plotting, and scheming, Imran Khan finally ties the knot with his ladylove Katrina Kaif in the film along with his on-screen brother Ali Zafar. With the backdrop of the romantic Taj Mahal, the two couples get married in a traditional ceremony on one mandap. And not to forget that this wedding saw the bride sitting and dancing on a horse instead of the groom.

In Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor fall in love during a European vacation and then undertake a quest to please the latter's uncles. This comedy film is a story of fun mishaps and adorable moments that eventually brings the love birds together after a lot of drama. Besides, the wedding scene is captured with a beautiful song that will always stay with you.

In 2 States, Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor had to beat all odds, convince their parents to get married in this film. From finding love in college to a breakup to finally tying the knot and having twins, this love story tugs your heartstrings. The film ends with the couple tying the knot in a traditional Tamil wedding with a beautiful song in the background. The love in this scene will only remind you of your bae.

Bride And Prejudice showcase Aishwarya Rai falling in love with Martin Henderson, a wealthy man from America. Loosely based on Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice, this film is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and drama. But the film eventually ends with two weddings and a grand 'vidai' that brings the entire city together. You would definitely want to watch this film sometime in the week.

The title of the movie Vivah suggests it all! A tragedy occurs on the day of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao's wedding. But after a few months and recuperation, the duo gets married in a beautiful ceremony that is extremely emotional. Moreover, it's the wedding ceremony that unites not just two families but strengthens bonds within the families too.

Saathiya is always special to every '90s kid. The film sees Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukerji's parents opposing their alliance. They decide to run away and get married in a temple with just their friends in attendance. Small, intimate, and extremely beautiful, this wedding scene with the perfect background score is too beautiful and emotional to miss.

Filmmaker Karan Johar hosted the 'coolest wedding of all-time' in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, that sees Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan getting married in a traditional ceremony. Fawad, Anushka, and Ranbir Kapoor have a gala time over a few days that sees a Holi party, a fun sangeet night followed by Mehendi and a wedding. Not only were the wedding festivities beyond beautiful, but shot with two back-to-back songs, this wedding sequence is exactly how you want your celebrations to be.

All we desire of is a wedding like Kalki Koechlin's from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The wedding festivities begin with a cocktail dance party followed by a Mehendi ceremony, sangeet, haldi and eventually, the wedding. With all your close people involved, this destination wedding was pure goals. Whether it was the outfits or the beautiful maang-bharo moment, the wedding scene from this film will always be a favourite.

Hum Saath Saath Hai gave us not one but three beautiful weddings to take away from. It begins with Monish Behl's wedding to Tabu with grandeur, style, glamour, and the coolest lehengas and sherwanis. But what makes it so special is that the close-knit family come together to celebrate the wedding celebrations of their eldest son with happiness and joy.
