This is the content of the release… Sony Entertainment Television’s most popular and longest ever running television series CID is all geared to go regional. With the CID Kolkata Bureau launching on Sony’s Premium Bangla Entertainment Channel AATH that is watched in over 4.91 million households in West Bengal, this is the first ever fiction show which will have a regional franchise. The show is all set to stake its claim on the state with the brand new series which will have its own batch of officers and a dash of local flavor with stories influenced by the rich local culture of Bengal. Taking inspiration from CID, India’s popular crime drama television series that has been running successfully on SET, the new series will carve its own identity and be relevant to the people of West Bengal. The CID Kolkata Bureau will be produced by Fireworks Productions, the producers of CID whose passion for this series has made it a household name today.
