Hamid Barkzi from Nikhil Chinapa’s team won the show while Michael Ajay and Jayant Yadav from Varun Sood’s team qualified for the finale.

Varun Sood came as gang leader Raftaar’s proxy in the show. However, post the lockdown shoot, Varun continued shooting for the same as Raftaar was tested positive for COVID just before the shoot.

TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Varun and asked him about his journey in the show. “I had a fiction show in my hand while I was offered Roadies as a gang-leader. I was quite confused as to what should I take up. However, the fiction show got postponed and I was quite excited and nervous at the same time to take up Roadies as it was something that I’ve always wanted to do. I knew there would be people fairly older than me on the show as gang-leaders while the contestants would nearly be of my age but I took up the challenge and I’m glad I did.”

Varun connected really well with the contestants, so much so that many contestants’ first priority as a gang-leader was Varun. Speaking about the same, he said, “I didn’t strategise anything as such. All I wanted was to create a great environment for the contestants. They were already under a lot of stress and I made sure not to add more stress. I never lost my calm on them and always motivated them even on their bad days. In my season of Roadies where I was a contestant, we had a close-knit bond and we gave utmost priority to friendship. I wanted the same for my team and I can proudly say that I achieved it as Vipin Sahu sacrificed his star during the ‘Battle of Stars’ task for his teammate and friend Jayant Yadav. It was great to witness bonds and friendship being valued more.”

Speaking about the rest of the gang leaders, Varun said, “Initially, when I replaced Raftaar for a few days, everybody was fine with me and was nice to me. However, post pandemic, things changed. Usually, Prince and Neha qualify for the finale most of the seasons, however, this time Nikhil and I did. Neha and Nikhil asked for my help whenever they wanted to perform with me or wanted an advantage that I’ve won, however, I felt all the advantages were taken away from me. Probably people couldn’t digest the fact that the youngest and newest gang leader reached MTV Roadies Revolution’s grand finale.”
