Though, this actress did not remember him clearly, till Saurabh took the initiative of taking her down memory lane. Incidentally, both of these talented actors had acted in a play titled Bina Dewar Ka Ghar sometime in the early 80’s. Then, Hema was in the third year of her college and was new to theatre as she tells us, “In the play I was playing the role of a middle aged principal and since I was really young then, I had to work very hard to get into the skin of my character. That was when I had met Saurabh. But, since I was too engrossed in the play, I did not get enough time to interact with him. That is why when he told me about us having worked together earlier, it took me a while to recollect those days. But, yes I do remember both of us having worked together.” Talking about the chemistry between her and Saurabh, Hema avers, “I am sure we will have a very good on-screen chemistry. I have just shot one scene with him and it was really good.” Saurabh, who was also in college at that time and had bagged a role in a play that was organized by a girl’s college, was all excited about it. “I remember everything clearly because it was my first opportunity. Plus acting in a girl’s college and rehearsing there for two months made an immature me feel like Krishna Kanhiya (laughs).” Talking about Hema not remembering her association with him, he says, “We met 30-31 years ago and that’s a long time. But yes, she was shocked, surprised and happy to see me on the sets of Kairi.” We are sure these theatre personalities will give us a sparkling chemistry on-screen.
