MUMBAI: Rishika Nag hails from Kolkata, She debuted on tv with MTV’s show Dating in the Dark season 1. She has also worked in many TV serials and commercials. Her performance in reality shows earned her a huge fan base. She came into the limelight with the show Kawach 2. She was also part of the supernatural tv show Daayan.
Presently, Rishika is a part of Colors' Molkki, as Nandini Pratap Singh, Virendra Pratap's eldest daughter. Her entry into the show marked a massive change in the storyline of Molkki. We rang the diva and asked her about her experience in the show.
Check out her super interesting answers:
What is your take on the completely different track of Molkki after your entry?
To run a show, we have to keep on bringing new elements. With Nandini, she has been heartbroken as her husband cheated on her and now the one she really loved also left her. So these are one of the reasons, She flew back to London for some time, to refresh her mind. All she came back was to seek revenge from Molkki and live with her boyfriend but none of them happened, instead, she broke her heart. She will surely be back with a new twist.
Tell us something about your character Nandini and what preparations went behind?
Not really much preparation for the character, Since the day of the mock test I was being told briefly that Nandini as a character is not negative, she is all things good but her mother's death has pricked her and as per the show she has come seeking revenge for her mother from Virendra Pratap and Purvi.
In reality, Rishika and Nandini are quite similar, I would also take a stand if something happens to my mother. It may look negative to others but I am keeping my stand clear in front of everyone. I haven't taken any specific preparations, but I really adore Nandini just the way she is and I decided to put few elements from my side.
What is your one hobby that has been the most adored?
I love dancing, just turn on the music and I'd start dancing. I still remember while doing my look test for Molkki, the look test ended up going on till 4 am and to keep up the energy we played dance music like kamli and all to stay energetic till we were done with the work.
I used to learn Kathak in childhood, but now it is more about freestyle, belly and other dance forms. I haven't trained myself in any dance form apart from Kathak. I am eager to do something where I can show some moves and bring out that skill on screen with such a character.
