MUMBAI: When Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan got married in 2012, it became a raging topic of the year.
Four years later, the couple welcomed their first child Taimur Ali Khan, who has become a superstar (already)! But what about the time in between? It is not every day that you spot a celebrity walking the ramp, flaunting her baby bump. But when it comes to shattering stereotypes, you can totally depend on Kareena.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has penned her pregnancy stories in her book the 'Pregnancy Bible'.
How most Bollywood stars don’t leave the house when they’re pregnant thinking how they’ll look, Kareena worked until the last days of both her pregnancies with Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh.
But there came a moment in her life after her first delivery (which was a C-incision) where Kareena Kapoor Khan looked at her bandaged body right after childbirth and didn’t know how to describe that feeling.
In an interview, she shared, “There I was: scarred, chubby, puffy, tired.” and further added that, “I saw the baby bulge, the dark circles, the dressing bandage of my C-incision. I cannot describe how I felt.”.

Kareena also debunked myths related to pregnancy, weight gain and how taboos pertaining to these should be shattered. She shared, “Most Bollywood actors, when they get pregnant, don’t leave the house because they are stressed about how they look, that they are no longer this glamorous diva, worried if they put on some weight that people will judge them. There’s still a lot of those taboos.”.
But Bebo wanted to 'own' every bit of it!
Post her first pregnancy, Kareena worked hard to get back in shape and so she did! The actress was an inspiration to every mommy who thought they can’t regain their original shape or lose weight after pregnancy.
While giving birth to Taimur, Kareena had to undergo an emergency C-incision since the cord had wrapped around the little one’s head.
A few months after giving birth to Jeh, Kareena spoke about dealing with postpartum pain. A part of her post on International Yoga Day could be read, “Now after two babies and four months postpartum... this time I was just exhausted and in too much pain to get back but today I’m slowly and steadily getting back at it.”.
Quite like Taimur, Kareena’s little one Jeh is often papped with the star and photos of the Ali Khan brothers often go viral on the web.
