Plans to bring back one of yesteryear’s successful serials Gul Gulshan Gulfaam have failed to take off. The grim situation in strife-torn Kashmir spelled the doomsday for this project.
Confirming the news, a rather disappointed Siddharth Malhotra of Cinevistaas says,”Yes, we were keen to bring back Gul Gulshan Gulfaam . We’d had also approached a leading TV channel. Unfortunately, the present situation in Kashmir forced us to scrap the project.”

Adi Irani was among the actors who were approached. “I was offered Gul Gulshan Gulfaam but sadly I didn’t have the available dates and so I couldn’t take it up. What was really disappointing was that my existing show Pari Hoon Main didn’t allow me to take up any new assignment. However,Pari Hoon Main didn’t last too long and I was left to rue the missed opportunity,” Adi had told this to us some time back.
Directed by Ved Rahi, Gul Gulshan Gulfaam was a tale of a Kashmiri family with three houseboats. Parikshit Sahni, Radha Seth played the lead. Pankaj Berry and an extremely young Kunal Khemu was also part of this show.
