Mandira Bedi is a strong and beautiful actress who has always broken stereotypes be it in her career or personal life choices. She is the most influential and admired personality in the entertainment industry. She started her career on television and continued to make a name in Bollywood. Delivering stellar performances in the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and TV show Shanti. She gained immense recognition over the years. In an interview she revealed about her insecurity, getting the best work of her life in her 40s.

Mandira revealed how her life changed after having children. She said, “So, in my 30s, I have been most insecure I have ever been in my life. It was like, any minute now it's gonna end. My husband was ready to have a kid. And I was like, one minute- you know if I have kids that will be the end of the story. I was always insecure and anxious. But I would say this--the kind of work, the quantity of work, the quality of work that I got after becoming a parent and in my 40s have been the best ever. Better than in my 20s, better than in my 30s.”

Explaining further, Mandira adds, “The stuff I did, the work I did, the quality of the work, the volume of the work, the kind of work that came my way best in my 40s. So I have reached a stage. It was in my 40s that I discovered self-love. I started believing in myself.”

Moreover, she also recollects about working when she was seven months pregnant and there was an India Pakistan match happening to which she adds '' I am driven by work. I love work. My work defines me. I was like I mean till whatever time. I told the channel I am pregnant and they say you wear sarees and you are sitting on these basket stools, nobody could tell you are pregnant. Not that I had a problem with that but imagine hosting a cricket show while you are pregnant. Not a very glamorous look but whatever. I was looking a little chubby I guess. But I didn’t want to take a break. ''
