Abbas 'Biji' Pandey returns to Lapataganj

Abbas Khan aka Biji Pandey from Lapataganj who had gone lapata for more than a month is back on the scene. There was speculation that he was out of the show. However, Khan assured us that everything was fine and that he was “unwell for a month, because of which I had to take some time off from the serial,” he clarifies. He adds, “I had boils all over my body. And I was in a bad condition.” In the satirical comedy he is seen in a colourful role romancing Surili, the daughter of Misri bua (the agony aunt of the village). Khan is also a part of Bhagyavidhaata on Colors. So he is juggling schedules of two daily soaps. He says, “It’s challenging to be a part of a daily soap. We are left with no time for anything else. I have been neglecting Bhagyavidhaata for Lapataganj for a few days. Probably, I will start shooting for it soon.”
