TellyChakkar got in touch with the show's director Sachin Ambre who is helming the series for several years now. He is quite elated with this achievement.
Sachin spoke at length about the show and also expressed his happiness for Mere Sai clocking 1100 episodes.
How is the feeling as the show is set to achieve another milestone? What are the plans for celebrations?
The excitement level is unmatchable. We all are very happy about it.
Everyone on the set is very happy. Talks about doing a party are still on. We all will be having a small party on the set. But the producers are planning a grand bash to celebrate this victory. We will try to have a grand party with the entire star cast whoever is associated with the show from the beginning. We are waiting for everyone to be available at the same time.
How has Mere Sai changed your life and your career?
I am waiting for 11 more days. Mere Sai will be one of the longest-running shows of my career that I have directed so far. Before this, I had done Baal Veer where I directed 1111 episodes. I am ready to break my own record. It will be a big achievement for me as well as the show.
How much do you miss the actors who are no more a part of the show?
I really miss all of them. Abeer Soofi, Toral Rasputra, Flora Saini, Apara Mehta, Hemant Thatte, among others were a part of the show. Many of them played important cameos in the show. The actors who have played short-term roles in the show have been well-connected to us. They still give us blessings. We all are like a family. They are always keen on being a part of the show for the long term. But we keep meeting and partying together. We also talk about Sai Baba.
Mere Sai is produced by Dashami Creations and stars Vaibhav Mangle, Kishori Godbole, Tushar Dalvi in pivotal roles.
