The newly launched shows Ajeeb and Rubi on 9X have now changed their bi-weeklies status to that of a daily. Currently Rubi airs on Monday and Tuesday and Ajeeb on Wednesday and Thursday at 9.30 pm. According to a source from Rubi , “It becomes rather difficult to keep the audiences hooked to a show which runs for an hour so it has been decided to transform it into a half an hour daily.” Rajesh Chaddha, Programming Head BAG Films, said, “Yes, the show is becoming a daily from 13 October and it would air from 9:30 to 10:00. This decision is the result of the channel’s internal research and strategy.” Another source from Ajeeb informs, “The show has been received well by the viewers and the channel has decided to split one episode into two parts and will be aired at 10:00 pm. Each episode will end with a hook so that it continues to generate viewer interest. Ajeeb is a seasonal show of 24 episodes which will anyways have a definite end. But with the good reviews from the viewers the show might get an extension or a new season would come in its place.” Bonnie Jain, Producer of Ajeeb, refused to comment on the news and said, “I have not received any communication from the channel.”
