MUMBAI: Not the one to become complacent, Bhavika Sharma believes in learning new things that enable her to become better at her craft. So, on a recent trip to Thailand, the Maddam Sir actress learned Muay Thai, martial art, and combat sport.

Sharing her experience in Thailand, the Maddam Sir actress was quoted saying, “This was my first international trip and that, too, solo. I wanted to experience everything that the destination offered, be it the Thai food, night market, or Muay Thai. I took a three-day basic course. Today, I can call myself Nak Muay (a person who trains in Muay Thai is known as that).
“I play a character of a cop in my show Maddam Sir, which requires me to do a lot of action toh socha why not learn the Muay Thai and add a certain zing to my character of a cop. I thought learning the art and using it in the show will further enhance my performance. Thoda videshi mukkebaazi dikhana toh banta hai na show mein,” she further added.

The actress plans to practice it on the sets during breaks, as she feels that learning the martial art form has been beneficial in more ways than one.
