After Shakti, you are once again back in action. How does it feel to face the camera after a gap?
After Shakti, I was actually waiting for a good role and a good show. After all, I wanted to try something new and different. I feel bored doing repetitive roles. One gets very less chances to explore different roles in TV. I love cameras and my work. I was totally nervous. Whenever I begin my journey for any show, I am quite nervous for a few days because of stress. I take time to gel. I keep thinking about the character I am playing. It's mixed emotions.
What made you choose this character?
This character has so many shades. Niharika is a classy, strong woman and she is a mother who loves her kid a lot. She also loved her husband but when she faces domestic violence, and when she comes back after 7 years, there are so many shades to her. It is a beautiful character to play. I didn't think twice before taking up this role. I wanted to be Niharika Kapoor.
How similar is Niharika Kapoor to you in real life?
The major similarity between me and Niharika is that both of us are strong. We are really giving in our relationship. She was madly in love with her husband Vaibhav Kapoor and I am also the same. I love my kids and Niharika also loves her kids.
Kaamnaa also stars Manav Gohil, Abhishek Rawat, and Chandni Sharma in the lead roles.
