The actor-dancer, who had earlier made a return with a new partner (Meenal Jain) via a wild card, failed to make it to the finals. As a result, the final will now be contested between Kushal Punjabi-Sanchita Mukherjee and Jasveer Kaur and her partner Raja Hasan.

Abhishek Avasthi has been eliminated for the second and final time on Ek Se Badhkar Ek. Confirming the news, a source says, “Abhishek Avasthi and Meenal Jain have been eliminated. All three pairs performed well but I guess Abhishek fell behind in terms of SMS votes. They had performed to the title track of Aankhen.”
So, did Abhishek behave like a sore loser again? Our source replies, “No, he was pretty calm this time. There was no drama from him this time. He accepted the decision sportingly.”
The final of Ek Se Badhkar Ek will take place on September 7.
