I wanted to perform on a Michael Jackson number in Jhalak: Suresh Menon

Suresh Menon
Funny man Suresh Menon was the first one to get eliminated from Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6 (BBC Worldwide Productions). In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Menon talks about his attempt of moving out of his comfort zone and talking up dancing, injuries and more. “Dancing has always been like appearing in a maths exam for me, but I wanted to move out of my comfort zone and hence I chose to be on Jhalak…. Trust me, I was having a blast, but then the level of performance has gone very high over the years. There are some amazing dancers this season and I think I will miss watching their performances the most,” admits the comedian. Talking about his short journey in Jhalak, Menon states, “It was a learning experience. I have swelling in my right ankle that still hurts and a shoulder muscle spasm that I got during rehearsals. But I have made some good friends on the sets as a lot of unit people and my co-contestants were upset when I was leaving. In fact, the little girl Sonali even started crying, So, on my last day, things were pretty emotional.” When asked who he would vote for now, he replied, “Shaan is a talented man, Drashti (Dhami) is the beauty, Lauren (Gottlieb) is a dancer, Siddharth (Shukla) has a huge fan following, Shweta (Tiwari) is very capable of beating the rest and Aarti (Chabria) has something in her. So, everyone has to watch out for them. I think it will be hard for me to select one out of many. So, I will vote for all of them.” Now, what’s next on your plate? “Since I am a TV guy, I will be looking forward to something on in the same medium. I think Colors must start a series on South Indian Superman as everyone loved mine comical Superman performance in Jhalak (giggles). On a serious note, I am working on three films namely Grandmasti, Bang Bang Bangkok and Disco Valley. But, I’d still be looking forward to TV shows. I completely look up to Benny Hill as a comedian and I’d love to do something like him,” he informs. Will he get back as a wild card entry? “They haven’t given me any intimation on that, but I wanted to perform on a Michael Jackson number. So if I get an opportunity to get back, I’d love to do that,” he answers. Menon, we wish you luck with your future endevours!!!
