Zee Next, the Hindi GEC which was launched amidst much fanfare last year is reportedly going to shut down.
Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd CEO Punit Goenka was busy in a meeting and asked us to contact Assistant VP Corp Comm. Riya Mitra.
When contacted, Riya Mitra said, "No decision has been yet taken on this regard. There's a meeting today and I'll be only able to make to tell you something by tomorrow."

Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd CEO Punit Goenka was busy in a meeting and asked us to contact Assistant VP Corp Comm. Riya Mitra.

While there was no concrete word from the officials, Siddharth Malhotra of Cinevistaas, which produces Yahaan Ke Hum Sikander says, "It's just not our show but the entire channel is shutting down."
An actor from Ek Thi Rajkumari says, "Yes, it is true that the channel will wind up on September 4. As regards to Ek Thi Rajkumari show, I'm told that there will be a rerun of our show on the afternoon slot on Zee TV. Well, only time will tell whether this holds true. At the moment, our last shoot is scheduled for September 4."
Preeti Amin, the main protagonist of Jhoome Jiiya Re says, "We are stillshooting and haven't received any communication regarding the show's future either from the channel or the production house. A few weeks ago, I had got a call from a coordinator who asked me to take up another show as Jhoome was shutting shop."
Rohit and Mansi Joshi Roy's Rang - The Colors of Love which was to launch on Zee Next will now be seen on Zee.
Well, we'll just have to wait and watch to see what happens next on Next.
