Mithunda's "no celebration" 63rd birthday

On Sunday 16 June (2013), Mithun Chakraborty turned 63. But there was no celebration. The star-actor who is known to have diehard fans both outside and within the film industry never celebrates his birthday. What’s more he doesn’t allow his family to celebrate either. Mithun’s son Mahaakshay seems dismayed by his father’s rigid decision to stay away from all birthday celebrations. “We are never allowed to celebrate my father’s birthday. He will be shooting for the Bigg Boss Bangla on his birthday,” said the son on the eve of his father’s birthday. Apparently, the Bigg Boss team was very keen to do the cake-cutting candle-blowing. But Mithunda begged off.
