Deepti’s answer to K serials

Sab TV will now have an answer to the K serials that have become a staple for couch potatoes. A saas bahu show Main Kab Saas Banungi produced by Deepti Bhatnagar is soon to be launched on Sab TV. But hold that thought. It is not the volatile saas bahu saga that viewers are used to. But it is a comedy show that will be taking a dig at all saas bahu soaps on TV. The story is about three generations of saas and bahus. Bharti Achrekar will be seen playing the eldest mother- in- law of the family. Vandana Pathak will play Bharti’s daughter- in- law and new actress Ambika will play daughter- in- law to Vandana Pathak. Gayatri Chaudhary, another new face will play daughter to Ambika. Talking about this show, Deepti Bhatnagar said, “We are going to show the comic side of a mother- in- law and daughter- in- law relationship. It also has references to some saas bahu soaps. Over time we will keep introducing many characters.” Confirming the launch and time slot, she further said, “It is going to be launched on August 25. The exact time slot is not finalised but it is going to be a prime time slot and a daily.” Looks like there is some hope for laughter-starved audiences
