MUMBAI: Even though rumors of an ongoing conflict between Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have circulated for a very long time, the two are close friends outside of the spotlight. Aamir Khan was also invited to the filming of Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om, which also starred Deepika Padukone and many other celebrities, along with Shah Rukh Khan, in the key roles.
In a recent internet comment, Farah Khan explained why Aamir Khan was unable to join the group in Om Shanti Om's Deewangi Deewangi. She was cited as saying on a well-known entertainment website, “We called a lot of stars who eventually did not come. Amit ji could not come. Abhishek and Aishwarya were getting married that week, so he couldn’t come. Aamir’s was the funniest, he kept me hanging and, in the end, he gave me the reason that he was editing Taare Zameen Par. I said, ‘Just come, I will get it done in two hours.”
