I am not concerned about TRPs; rather I wish to give in my best: Hunar Hali

Hunar Hali
The talented actor Hunar HaliL is back on the small screen after a brief hiatus. The cute Punjabi kudi who was last seen in Colors’ Chhal - Sheh Aur Maat, will play a negative role in Life OK’s upcoming show Ek Bhoond Ishqiya (BBC Worldwide Productions). Asked to brief about the role in the above show, Hunar elaborates, “I can’t talk anything about my character as the show is yet to go on air. One of the main reasons why I said yes to this project was that it was something that I had not done before. As an actor, I have always attempted to push the envelope in every outing of mine as I need to surprise my audience. To prove this, I played a street smart girl in 12/24 Karol Bagh, but in Sasural Genda Phool, I essayed the role of a matchmaker. I also played a rich spoilt brat in Mukti Bandhan that was followed by Chhal in which I experimented with thriller and paranormal elements.” On her life post Chhal, the actress states, “I worked on an upcoming film and also like I said earlier, I waited for the right kind of role on TV. I think my new assignment is just what the doctor ordered. I have an interesting character in the project, so better watch out for it.” Hunar does not regret that Chhal did not really rock on the ratings front. “I am not too much concerned with TRPs; rather I wish to give in my best. Having said that, had Chhal worked it would have changed the ball game not only for me but for all my co-stars as well. I truly believe that if a show is successful, all the actors associated with the project benefit (parallel lead, cameo) and not just the leads. I have experienced this with Sasural Genda Phool,” she adds. Finally, when we ask her to talk about her personal life, Hunar replies, “I have never talked about it before and will not start talking of it now. I will only reveal the same to the world the day I wish to settle down with someone special.” Remind her of her link up with Chhal co-star Abhishek Malik and she quips, “This just shows how popular I am. See, people will talk and will not stop at that. I am sure tomorrow I might be linked with someone in my new show as well. I have learnt to deal with this occupational hazard with a pinch of salt.” Have a great outing with your new show, Hunar!!
