MUMBAI: Athiya Shetty was rumored to be pregnant, and the pair were expecting their first child, following Suniel Shetty's recent viral statement on becoming a nana. Finally responding subtly to the persistent rumors of her pregnancy with cricketer spouse KL Rahul, Athiya has decided to make fewer public appearances.
Rumors were put to rest when Athiya posted a mirror photo of herself on Instagram a while back. In it, she was seen showing off her extremely toned physique.
Athiya looked stunning and sleek in this full-sleeved striped top denim, and what caught everyone's attention was that the actress has no baby bump which automatically shuts down the speculations around her pregnancy.
As the rumors of Athiya and KL Rahul expecting their first baby coming the way after Suniel Shetty's nana remark, it was claimed that the actor had just said it in jest and his statement was misinterpreted.
The celebrity pair wed in January 2023 at Suniel Shetty's home in Alibaug. Their marriage was one of Bollywood's most private affairs; they only shared gorgeous wedding photos on social media and only came out together to pose for fans on their wedding day.
KL Rahul previously mentioned, praising his wife Athiya, in an interview that his wife is superstitious when he plays, "She has a lucky spot at home. So, she wants to sit there. You know how partners can be, they have their lucky positions, their lucky seats. They want to sit there and watch it. She’ll not move when I’m batting. She has certain superstitions when I am playing".
