MUMBAI: Television actor Abhinav Shukla has responded to Avinash Sachdev's remarks on his actress-wife Rubina Dilaik. Avinash once dated Rubina in the past and called her "possessive and insecure" in a recent interview. Abhinav has now advised everyone to stop talking about their ex-partner as soon as it ends "because it does not help."

“My advice to lots of youngsters out there, who are dating, who are in a relationship, and who are conscious and do not wish to spoil their life, here is a golden rule – When a relationship is over, it’s over! Be a man, do not talk about that girl, do not talk about anything from the past because it doesn’t help,” Abhinav said in a recent interview with Subhojit Ghosh.
“What has ended, has ended. ‘We have broken up but we are still friends’- This has come from Hollywood. You can’t be friends. Because if you have broken up with the person with whom your emotions were involved. You can’t be friends with them so cut them off,” the actor added.
Abhinav further argued that he does not pay attention to what Avinash says because he “can’t tell me that she is like that.” He further called Avinash’s comment “trivial” and argued that there is no point talking about the past.
“It’s a very trivial thing. I have worked with him and I find him like an okay guy. There is no point in talking about the past and even if he is doing it, I don’t care. I have dated women in this city and if somebody comes to know who all, they will be shocked because I have never spoken a word about them and I will never even speak because it’s their dignity,” he said and revealed that he does not even discuss this with Rubina.
Avinash Sachdev and Rubina Dilaik fell in love when they first met on the set of their 2008 show Choti Bahu. It marked Rubina's debut show. After dating for a while, the two broke up. After that, the actress began dating Abhinav Shukla, with whom she got married in June 2018. The pair welcomed their twin girls into the world last year and embraced parenting.
Rubina Dilaik is well-known for her work on shows like as Choti Bahu, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, and Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. However, Abhinav Shukla also starred in several shows, including Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka and Choti Bahu. The pair also took part in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 14, which Rubina Dilaik ultimately won.
