MUMBAI: Akshay Oberoi swooned everyone with his role as Indian Air Force Officer Basheer Khan in Siddharth Anand's Fighter. He played an important role that made everyone teary-eyed in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's aerial action drama film.
During an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, in a segment called Gupshup, the actor was asked about one thing he would like to give the Greek God and one thing he would like him to leave. "I want to first of all, give him a big hug because he took such good care of me while shooting Fighter and he did not have to. Woh etne bade mega star hai, he did not have to care for me as much as he cared for me”.
He further said, “I didn't expect that from me. It is a gift from the universe that he just embraced me. The only way I can pay him back is to give him a hug and say thank you brother for that gift. I think he is the most hardworking human being I have ever met. We were shooting Sher Khul Gaye and meri dil ki dhadkane tez hori thi ki mei Greek God ke saath dance karne wala hu. I was standing there and I had rehearsed, rehearsed and I thought I really rehearsed, but I am seeing Hrithik Roshan ko up and down that set man doing the step over and over again. Even when he does his dialogues he keeps practicing and practicing. He is where he is for a reason. These things add but maybe I would like to tell him you are an incredible performer. You can let it be now. I know the stakes are very high where you are now.. but you are so good at what you do, just have fun, enjoy it".
