MUMBAI : Shritama Mitra plays the lead in Advocate Anjali Awasthi's Hindi television debut.
Anjali Awasthi, the protagonist of the series, is a fierce and daring attorney who challenges influential people in her pursuit of justice. One important plot point is her defence of Padma, a maid who was beaten by Yash, the son of a wealthy man. Her personal and professional hardships are shown in the show as she encounters roadblocks and grave threats from those attempting to undermine her.
Umesh Ghadge plays the main antagonist in the serial as Raghav Singh Rajput.
In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Umesh shared her bond with Shritama and all that he misses while shooting for the show.
Umesh shared, “It was really nice. We met while shooting for the promo and since day one we hit it off. She is a hardworking girl and though her first language is Bengali, she has been trying hard. In fact, I speak Bengali and she was surprised that I know the language. We might hate each other on-screen but off-screen we really bond well.”
He added, “I have been living away from home so I miss that but I must say that the production house has taken really good care of us. There have been some initial issues when it came to communication but now we all have started understanding each other’s lingos. As for Shritama, yes I do help her with some nuances and pronunciations and everyone from the production, creative unit to the entire cast is very cooperative.”
