MUMBAI: Sunny Deol made a major comeback with Gadar 2 in 2023 but even after such a massive collection at the box office, he wasn’t done. Sunny Deol has come back with a banger once again. Yes, we are talking about ‘Jaat’, the latest movie that has hit the big screens.
Fans of Sunny Deol were waiting for Apne 2 but before that, Sunny Deol announced Jaat. The first look of Jaat was enough to create high anticipation. The Gopichand Malineni directorial trailer connected perfectly with the audience as it conveyed the action, the aggression and the emotions very well to the audience.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, it was pointed how even after having such a huge fan-following amongst the audience, Sunny Deol is a star that needs to be reminded within the industry. Sunny Deol had an interesting answer to this.
Sunny Deol said, “Janta ke dilo mein toh baitha hu, main toh kahin nahi ja raha but industry ke andar pata nahi, may be because main muphat hu ya shayad pata nahi kya reason I really don’t know. Hum logo ne Betaab film ki for uske baad, Ghayal se toh main khud ek producer ban gaya and then I worked with a lot of new directors and somehow those directors started off with me and went away. So I don’t know may be mere mein kuch khami hai, but I have given breaks to lots of directors. Main break dene wala kaun hota hu, but I’ve worked with a lot of newcomers throughout my journey and maine kabhi bataya nahi hoga, ek toh aisi bhi film thi, Highway, who Imtiaz ke saath baith ke maine read ki thi, main karne wala tha, in 2003.”
Randeep Hooda, who was sitting right next to Sunny Deol, admitted that he wasn’t aware of this fact.
