MUMBAI: The journey of Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 has officially begun, and leading the charge is debutant director Prasshant Jha, who shared a touching behind-the-scenes moment that marked the beginning of his directorial career.
In an Instagram post that’s quickly gaining traction, Jha recalled his very first meeting with producer Vinod Bachchan, which turned into a defining moment of his career.
“It was my first meeting ever with Mr. Vinod Bachchan. He said, ‘I liked your last work as a writer-do you have something for us?’ I said, ‘Yes sir, I do. But I want to direct it.’ He observed, smiled and said, ‘Okay. Can you give a full narration?’ I asked, ‘Now?’ He said, ‘Yes, if you can.’ And once the narration ended, he said, ‘We’re doing it.’”
The emotional post celebrates not only the green-light moment but also the collaborative spirit behind the project.
Jha went on to express his gratitude to the team behind the film, including producers Soundrya Production and Vinod Bachchan, as well as lead actors Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr, who are headlining the sequel. He also gave a special mention to D.O.P. Archit Patel and his direction team, calling them “a dream team that’s beyond anything I ever imagined.”
Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 marks a fresh chapter following the success of its predecessor. With Jha at the helm, expectations are high for a sequel that blends heartfelt storytelling with cinematic flair.
The film is now officially in production, and fans can look forward to another captivating big family entertainer filled with charm, emotion, and laughter.
