MUMBAI: For actor Delnaaz Irani, the monsoon isn’t just about sipping chai and watching the rains—it’s about packing a bag and heading off to a peaceful getaway that nourishes the soul.

A firm believer in the power of travel, Delnaaz says, “Travel gives me back all my energy. It resets my soul and helps me return to work with a fresh mindset.”

Currently seen balancing a busy schedule, Delnaaz still manages to sneak in short, meaningful trips. “Yes, it gets tough for actors to find time, especially while shooting for daily soaps. But I make sure to take short breaks whenever possible. Even a weekend trip can do wonders for your mind,” she says.

This monsoon, she already has her bags half-packed for a quick escape. “We’re heading to Goa next week! I love Goa during the rains. The vibe is unmatched—the food, the quiet beaches, the greenery. It’s one of those places that instantly lifts my mood,” she shares.

While Delnaaz is a spontaneous traveler at heart, she avoids destinations that become tricky in heavy rains. “I steer clear of flood-prone or high-traffic areas. Safety and accessibility come first, especially during monsoons,” she explains.

Her go-to monsoon essentials? “A good umbrella, raincoat, waterproof shoes, an extra pair of clothes, and my playlist! And yes, that hot cup of chai while watching the rain from a hill station view—that’s non-negotiable,” she laughs.

Her favorite quick getaways include Panchgani, Mahabaleshwar, Matheran, Igatpuri, and Lonavala. “These places are close to Mumbai and perfect for a short, relaxing escape. The drive itself becomes part of the fun.”

Beyond just relaxation, travel holds deeper meaning for her. “You learn so much—about people, cultures, food, places. It takes you out of your comfort zone and inspires you. For me, it’s not a luxury—it’s therapy,” Delnaaz signs off.
