MUMBAI: Known for delivering some of India’s most loved comedy shows, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, &TV has firmly established itself as a frontrunner in family entertainment. Continuing its tradition of innovation and humour, &TV is all set to launch its new fiction show, Gharwali Pedwali. Produced by Peninsula Productions, this refreshing family comedy comes with a delightful supernatural twist, promising viewers yet another unforgettable viewing experience.
At the centre of the story is Prithvi Mishra, fondly called Jeetu, a simple man whose life has been anything but ordinary. Raised by two sets of parents, Jeetu’s life has always followed a pattern of doubles: two mothers, two fathers, two bosses and now, by a strange twist of fate, two wives; which is why he had always dreamed of a single marriage and a devoted wife; however, fate had a different path in store for him. On the verge of marrying the charming and modern Savi, an unexpected astrological complication forces Jeetu into a symbolic marriage with a sacred tree. What begins as a ritual quickly spirals into the bizarre when a spirit named Latika emerges, believing herself to be Jeetu’s rightful wife. And just like that, his once-simple dream turns into a double dilemma – one Gharwali and one Pedwali.
Caught between his real wife and his supernatural bride, Jeetu finds himself entangled in not one but two marital whirlwinds, perfectly in line with the recurring theme of 'twos' in his life. What unfolds is a hilarious tug-of-war between the two wives, turning his world upside down and transforming everyday moments into laugh-out-loud chaos, heartfelt confusion, and doubling the fun for the viewers.
Gharwali Pedwali brings audiences a refreshingly unique concept, seamlessly blending everyday family drama with an unconventional supernatural twist, proving that double the trouble truly means double the fun. With this show, &TV continues to push the boundaries of family entertainment, reinforcing its position as the go-to destination for content that is quirky, relatable, and irresistibly entertaining.
‘Gharwali Pedwali’ will premiere soon, only on &TV.
