MUMBAI: Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is gearing up for its grand release on August 14, 2025. The high-octane action thriller is a key addition to the YRF Spy Universe and features a stellar cast, including Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani. Touted as one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, the buzz has only intensified with the latest update — Bobby Deol is set to make a special cameo appearance in the movie.
According to Bollywood Hungama, a source has confirmed that War 2 will feature a brand-new character played by Bobby Deol. The actor will reportedly be introduced as a new villain, most likely in the film’s post-credits scene.

The report further reveals that, instead of using War 2 to establish the Alpha stars — Alia Bhatt and Sharvari — producer Aditya Chopra has chosen to unleash the story’s next big negative force. Bobby Deol, fresh from the success of Animal, will take on the role of the antagonist in the upcoming Alia Bhatt starrer.
There was widespread speculation that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic characters, Tiger and Pathaan, would make an appearance in the end credits of Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starrer. However, the latest update suggests that while the superstars themselves won’t be part of the cast, their characters’ names will be referenced at key moments in the film.
