MUMBAI: Saaniya Chandhok, Sachin Tendulkar’s would be daughter in law is being pegged as an heir to company that owns Hotel InterContinental, Baskin Robbins India and Brooklyn Creamery.
But is that really true?
Saaniya is daughter of Gaurika and Jaspreet Chandhok. Her maternal grandfather, Ravi Ghai once used to control Graviss Group. He no longer controls it.
He handed over the group to his son Gaurav for Rs 240 crores and settled abroad.
It is Gaurav Ghai who owns and controls all the family businesses.
If anything he detests and despises his father Ravi and sister Gaurika Chandhok.
Recently, Gaurav issued public notices in newspapers making serious allegations against Ravi and Gaurika.
Ravi’s wife Geeta Ghai has also filed domestic violence case against her husband.
Geeta has accused Ravi of squandering family wealth, abandoning the family to be with his paramour, and gambling. According to media reports, the case is being heard by Mumbai family court.
