MUMBAI: Actress Apeksha Malviya, who rose to fame with her titular role in Jhalee and was last seen as Fahmaan Khan’s sister Piya in Krishna Mohini, recently opened up about her interest in exploring the world of reality television.

In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, she shared her thoughts on contesting a reality TV show. She said, “I think contesting in a reality TV show is both a challenge and an opportunity. It puts you in a space where you are truly yourself. No script, no character, just your real personality. It teaches patience, adaptability, and how to deal with pressure while staying authentic. For an actor like me, it’s a different kind of stage that allows the audience to connect with the real person behind the roles. If I get a chance to be in a reality show, I’d love to do it—I’m even excited for it.”

When asked her preference between fiction and reality TV, Malviya said, "Honestly, both have their own charm. Fiction lets me explore new characters, emotions, and worlds—it’s creatively satisfying. Reality TV, on the other hand, is raw and unscripted, which makes it exciting in a very different way. If I had to choose, I’d say fiction still has my heart, because storytelling is what I deeply connect with.”

On the kind of reality shows she watches, the Jhalee actress said, “I enjoy watching reality shows that test people’s patience, intelligence, and emotions. Shows about dance, talent competitions, or even survival challenges interest me because they highlight growth and determination. Of course, I also keep up with shows like Bigg Boss, since they spark so many conversations and reveal different shades of human nature.”
