MUMBAI: Satish Shah, who made generations laugh with his work in various comedy shows and entertained viewers for decades, passed away on 25th October 2025 due to kidney failure. The 74-year-old actor struck a chord with millennials through his iconic role as Indravadhan Sarabhai in the immensely popular show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
Sarabhai vs Sarabhai became a cult favorite, and the cast often made it a point to catch up, sending waves of nostalgia among fans.
Shah’s passing has come as a major shock to everyone in the industry. His on-screen son, Rajesh Kumar, who played Rosesh Sarabhai, took to social media to express his grief.

Kumar wrote, "This is the worst hour for me… I still cannot process that Satish ji is no more… All I can say is that it feels like I have lost my father..."

Satish Shah’s last rites are scheduled for 26th October 2025. His mortal remains are expected to reach his residence on the morning of the same day.
