MUMBAI: The latest Weekend Ka Vaar saw Salman Khan calling out Abhishek for his ageist comment towards Kunickaa, where he referred to her as “dadi amma.” Salman addressed him, saying, “You’re getting emotional about Ashnoor being called names, but weren’t you the one calling Kunickaa ‘dadi amma’?”
Abhishek defended himself by saying, “Sir, I said that because she’s a grandmother of a 13-year-old, and she’s aged.” Salman immediately countered, “I’m also the same age as Kunickaa — are you calling me old? If that’s your idea of a compliment, there are other ways to express it.”
Salman continued to drive the point home, saying, “For my nieces and nephews, you’re old, and for you, me and Kunickaa are old. You’ll also come to this age one day and will have to work this much.”
Turning to Kunickaa, Salman added balance to the conversation, saying, “He’s not completely at fault — you also play that age card sometimes.” To this, Kunickaa replied, “I’ve never played the age card, I work a lot in the house.” Salman concluded firmly, “We’ve all seen everything, and once you’re out of the show, you’ll see it too — you’re still in denial right now.”
