MUMBAI: Actress Aradhana Sharma, known for her sincerity and strong on-screen presence, is all set to take on one of television’s most iconic roles.

Now, with Rajani 2.0, the beloved character is making a comeback — this time with Aradhana Sharma stepping into the role to bring Rajani’s spirit alive for today’s generation. In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Aradhana spoke about the show, comparisons with Priya Tendulkar and more.

She said, “Rajani isn’t just a show — it’s an emotion. While shooting for it, my co-actors and everyone around me would often say, “You’re so lucky to have got this role.” And honestly, I truly feel that. It’s a cult show — an iconic character that Priya ma’am portrayed so beautifully and powerfully."

Aradhana added, "I can’t even describe the joy I felt when people on set would say things like, “She resembles Rajani,” or “She looks a bit like Priya ma’am.” Sometimes they’d mention the eyes, sometimes the smile — and in those moments, I felt like I was on cloud nine. Of course, there’s absolutely no comparison — Priya ma’am was in a league of her own — but hearing those words touched me deeply. It’s a feeling beyond expression."

She concluded, "I feel truly grateful and humbled to be given the opportunity to bring Rajani to life. Every episode we shot carried that same warmth, strength, and spirit — a perfect blend of humour, drama, emotion, and that fearless activism that made Rajani so beloved. I’ve poured my heart into this role, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it and relive that magic once again."
