Returning to the judges’ panel is the much-loved trio Shreya Ghoshal, the queen of melody; Badshah, the dynamic rap icon; and Vishal Dadlani, the powerhouse composer and singer. Together, they continue to mentor and inspire a new generation of budding vocalists as they take centre stage.

Among the talented finalists this season is Suhail Sufi, who managed to win hearts right from his audition. His performance not only impressed the judges but also showcased his unique musical flair.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Suhail opened up about his audition experience, his journey so far, and the one judge he was most nervous to perform in front of.

Talking about his experience, Suhail shared,

“It has been an incredible journey! My family and close friends had been eagerly waiting for this moment — they always wanted to see me on Indian Idol. When I finally got the chance to perform before the judges and received their praise, it felt truly surreal. It was a proud moment for all of us.”

He further revealed that he had written a rap piece titled ‘Ragini’, which he performed for Shreya Ghoshal. To his delight, she loved it and appreciated his creativity.

When asked which judge he was most anxious about performing before, Suhail candidly admitted,

“I’ve been following Indian Idol for years, and Vishal sir has always come across as a very strict judge. Before my audition, I saw another contestant getting scolded by him, even though he sang well. That made me really nervous! I prayed that Vishal sir would like my performance — and luckily, he not only appreciated it but also came up to hug me. That moment truly made my day.”

With his remarkable talent and charming personality, Suhail Sufi has already carved a special place for himself this season. Fans are now eagerly awaiting his upcoming performances, expecting him to deliver many more memorable moments on the Indian Idol stage.
