MUMBAI: The Indian film fraternity is mourning the loss of one of its greatest icons, Dharmendra, who passed away today at the age of 89, leaving behind an extraordinary cinematic legacy that will be cherished for generations.
According to reports, the veteran star had been battling age-related health issues for some time. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital a week ago after experiencing chest discomfort. Surrounded by his loved ones, the legendary actor breathed his last earlier today.
Just days ago, reports had emerged that Dharmendra was on ventilator support. Sadly, despite the best efforts of the medical team, the beloved star could not be revived.
Fondly known as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” Dharmendra’s illustrious career spanned over six decades, gracing Indian cinema with unforgettable performances in classics such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Satyakam, and Phool Aur Patthar.
His magnetic screen presence, charm, and versatility earned him a place among the most revered figures in Hindi cinema.
