Junior Mehmood, whose real name is Naeem Sayyed began his acting career as a child artist. Comedian Mehmood took him under his wings after they worked together in the 1968 film Suhaag Raat.

Mehmood has been receiving therapy for the illness since receiving his diagnosis in November. He had previously stated that he wished to meet Sachin Pilgaonkar, his childhood friend, and Jeetendra, his co-star in numerous films. The two actors received the message right away, and on Tuesday morning, December 5, they hurried to meet Junior.
The news that Naeem Sayyed, also known as Mehmood Junior, has been diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer touched a chord with some movie enthusiasts who had witnessed the actor on the big screen. Following a visit from comedian Johny Lever, a buddy, to his Mumbai home, he conveyed his desire to get up with his longtime friend and co-star of Caravan, Jeetendra Kapoor.
