MUMBAI: Children’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to celebrating the innocence, joy, and limitless potential of children. It’s a day that reminds us to nurture their dreams, protect their rights, and create a world where every child can grow, learn, and shine. It is celebrated on Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday on 14th November every year.
TellyChakkar.com got in touch with actor Manjeet Makar who plays the character of Krishna in Star Plus show Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin and in a candid chat Makkar recalled his beautiful childhood days, his friends and more.
On this Children's Day, talking about his childhood, Manjeet said, "My best childhood memories are all rooted at home—mom, dad, and my older brother made those years truly special. I was a very mischievous kid. I played a lot, especially cricket—street cricket. Luckily, even today my school friends are still my best friends. We’re still very close; they’ve become like family now."
Recalling fun memories from his childhood, Makkar shared that his friends would go door to door to invite other kids for their birthday parties. He said, "We used to attend everyone’s birthdays. Whenever it was someone’s special day, kids from the whole lane would go door to door, inviting everyone on their behalf. I really did have a wonderful childhood — and I miss it a lot."
