MUMBAI: Border 2 is currently one of the most talked-about films, targeting a January 2026 release.

Ahead of this, a report has revealed that the makers are planning to release the teaser in a grand launch event on December 16, marking Vijay Diwas.

Now, a fresh update suggests that following the teaser release, it will be attached to one of the biggest international films of the year.

As per a report, after the release of the teaser on December 16, in the presence of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, it will be attached to the prints of Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 19, 2025.

With the James Cameron film expected to draw massive footfall to cinemas, placing Border 2’s teaser with it is deemed one of the most effective marketing strategies to ensure strong visibility across both domestic and international screens.

A report quoted a source close to the production revealing that Border 2’s much-anticipated teaser will premiere on December 16, 2025, in Mumbai, at a special event in the presence of the cast and crew.

The date holds immense patriotic significance, as December 16 is Vijay Diwas, commemorating India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, the same conflict that forms the backdrop of the franchise.

Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty are confirmed to attend the teaser premiere, joined by director Anurag Singh and producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta.

However, there is no update yet on Diljit Dosanjh’s availability for the event.

The makers of Border 2 are executing a high-impact marketing masterclass by aligning the teaser launch with the patriotic significance of Vijay Diwas and then strategically pairing it with a global phenomenon such as Avatar: Fire and Ash.
