After reality show Dus Ka Dum, Sony entertainment is coming with a new fantasy based show called Arsalan . Mukul Dev and Kishwar Merchant play negative roles in this show which is produced by Sagar Arts. “Yes, I essay a negative role in the show. We have already started the shoot and enjoying out stint,” confirms Mukul Dev. Arsalan is a story about a warrior prince and an evil magician. “There is an island called Pizak which has a ministry of magicians who were always at war. My character’s name is Zakfar who is abandoned from the ministry because of evil practices. He was cursed and trapped in an ice block. After 200 years he is reborn and wants to take revenge from the ministry,” states the actor. “There is a new prince of the island called Arsalan who is a warrior. He is not a magician but has super powers and is the backbone of the monarchy. Now I have to fight with him to get back the territory and in the coming episodes we’ll display our skills,” he adds further. Who else will share screen space with you? “Well as far as I know there are some new kids. The show is far more innovative and a never seen before kind of concept on Indian television. It has a Harry Potter flavour in it,” he chirps. “The show is to start somewhere in July on a weekly basis, mostly Saturday 8pm. The date of the show is still not decided,” says a source from the production house.
