The competition between the Maharashtrain family (Khadilkar family) and the Punjabi family (Punjabi cousins) is getting tougher as they both reach the semifinal rounds in Sony’s music show Waar Parriwar. Unfortunately though the show is a musical the music that is being played behind the scenes of the show is not melodious to the ears.
Recently Gajendra Singh’s Saibaba Productions which produces the show have received threatening calls. “There was a lady who warned the production house to do justice with the Maharashtrian family. She said that Punjabi family did not deserve to be in the semi- finals,” says a source from the sets.
“Today’s audience is just taking the advantage of everything. They see something or the other brewing around the show and make an issue of it,” informs Gajendra Singh.
He continues, “I just want to tell them that we have judges like Jatinji and Ismail Darbar who are the best at their job so leave the main decision to them. We are being fair when it comes to giving marks to the participants. In the singing world there is no caste or religion based on which we judge. The one who performs well will get the marks.”
“The lady on the phone also said that you cannot do injustice with the Maharashtrian family just to raise the TRP’s of the show. I cannot see them losing despite performing so well. If the Maharashtrian family was not given proper scores then she’ll do something,” adds the source.
As the war heats up on Waar Parriwar we wonder is this the reality of reality shows?
