Punjabi brothers win Waar Parriwar

After many musical months the search for India’s singing <em> gharana</em> comes to an end. And the proud winners who take home a Tata Indigo SX4.are the Punjabi brothers. The finals between Punjabi Brothers ( Haneet, Amit and Arvind) and Ali Brothers ( Mehboob Ali, Misbah and Yasub) was keenly contested and it was indeed difficult to vote the best. But ultimately Mausere<em> bhai </em> –the Punjabi brothers emerged victorious.

After many musical months the search for India’s singing gharana comes to an end. And the proud winners who take home a Tata Indigo SX4.are the Punjabi brothers. The finals between Punjabi Brothers ( Haneet, Amit and Arvind) and Ali Brothers ( Mehboob Ali, Misbah and Yasub) was keenly contested and it was indeed difficult to vote the best. But ultimately Mausere bhai –the Punjabi brothers emerged victorious. Pandit Jasraj and Durga Jasraj will present the winner's trophy. The judges Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu and mentor Jatin Pandit accompanied by beautiful and graceful host Urmila Matondkar, have been a great support to all the contestants and were extremely excited about the results. Commenting on the finale, Producer and Director of Waar Pariwar, Gajenderra Siingh said, “The concept of the show was very unique which attracted a huge audience and I’m sure it will grow." The evening took off with a gracious performance by Urmila, followed by an overwhelming performance by Ali and Mausere Bhai Pariwar. A celebration was called by all and the top 5 contesting families came together to rejoice. The audience hugely appreciated Kumar Sanu’s “Ohh Ohh Jane Jana” and Udit Narayan’s “Om Shanti Om.” Jatin Pandit’s “Ankhen Bhi hoti hai” received huge applause as well. Both the finalist families were very happy to meet Pandit Jasraj and daughter Durga Jasraj. Mausere Bhai happily said, “We were extremely nervous but at the same time there was a lot of excitement for the finale. Ali family said, “We have reached the finals and already feel like winners.” The grand finale will take place on Sunday 24, August at 5:00pm.
