Aanchal Munjal to join the cast of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain; to play grown up Pihu

Sony Entertainment Television’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms) is all set to witness a new entrant in the form of talented and versatile Aanchal Munjal. Aanchal (also a part of Parvarrish airing on the same channel but is soon set to go off air as per media reports), will come in and replace Amrita Mukherjee. She will play the role of grown up Pihu. Pihu played by Amrita over time has emerged as one of the most lovable child characters in the history of Indian television. But now with the show opting for an 8-9 years sequential leap, Pihu will grow up, thus marking Amrita’s exit, and Aanchal’s entry. We tried contacting Aanchal but she remained unavailable. However, Amrita’s mother Mrinmoyee Mukherjee confirmed the news and said that her daughter, post Bade Achhe, will unwind for the next three to four months. Furthermore, Amrita will not take up any daily soap as of now but as her talent lies in acting, she will work in a film or a TV assignment which would require her to shoot in weekends. Her mom is glad that she will be able to pursue her hobbies now, namely drawing and dancing. She will miss the cast and crew and go to meet them on weekends. She is especially close to Sakshi Tanwar (Priya). The leap is scheduled for next week.
