Star Plus and Spellbound Productions to get back with Pratigya...all new and with a fresh storyline

Star Plus seems to be thinking differently at a time when most of the channels want to reap in double success with sequels to their popular shows. Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, produced by Spellbound Productions was to see a leap in storyline with the Season 2 focussing on Pratigya (Pooja Gor) and Krishna’s (Arhaan Behll) daughter taking centre space. It was also reported that Pooja Gor would play the central role, while many characters like Sajjan Singh were to be retained. However, it now looks as though the Season 2 might not happen with the leap in mind. Says a source, “A Season 2 of Pratigya will surely be seen, but it will have a completely new storyline. The basic concept and brand value will be retained though. Season 2 of Pratigya was in fact to come on air in November 2013, but this new development has brought in a further delay.” We now hear that the makers and the channel are concentrating on working out a new story keeping in mind the broad concept. When contacted, Producer Pearl Grey said, “Yes, the leap idea for Season 2 of Pratigya is not happening. Instead, we will be coming up with a completely new storyline, with the same concept.” After coming up with a completely refreshing story of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon with the tag line Ek Baar Phir, guess Star Plus is now working out on Pratigya - Ek Baar Phir. Pratigya Season 2 might hit the floors sometime the next year (2014).
