It's a great feeling to be recognized for the character you play on screen - Rucha Gujarathi

Rucha Gujarathi
Rucha Gujarathi, better known as Mahima of Zee TV’s Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se (Filmfarm India), has been at her best when it comes to plotting and scheming in the show. However, in real life Rucha is the exact opposite of what Mahima is. And to play such a diverse character makes the actress within her happy. Talking about the reactions she gets from public for her character Mahima, Rucha states, “People have started identifying Mahima. In fact, recently a group of women came on our sets and they wanted to be clicked with me. This was indeed heartwarming. It’s a great feeling to be recognized for the character you play on screen.” Does this mean that she is very happy with her on-screen character? “Definitely, I am glad that I lapped up this role. I am thoroughly enjoying the planning and plotting. Moreover, by playing a negative character on screen, I get to explore different shades; this brings in a good lot of variation in my role.” Who are your ‘best buddies’ on the sets? “I have become very good friends with my on screen mausi Anju Mahendru. Apart from her, I am good friends with Vikas (Sethi), Mansi (Srivastava) and Arhaan (Behl),” she informs. Interestingly, Rucha has the capacity to very easily switch on and off between her character unlike others, who get affected or have a hangover of the same. “I have been in the industry for long enough to learn the art,” Rucha quips. Lastly, the actress is looking forward to her New Year chutti. “I am very happy working but I would definitely like to get an off on New Year’s day,” she hopes. Keep up the good work, Rucha!!!
