Rubina Dilaik, who gained popularity on the TV scene with her stint in Zee TV’s Chhoti Bahu and received acclaim for her role as Sita in Life OK’s hit mythological show Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, in a chat with Tellychakkar.com, talks about the secret behind her ravishing beauty. Personal fitness mantra? I believe in eating the right food at the right time. Personal diet mantra? I do not believe in dieting. Are you a foodie? I am a big time foodie. Exercise routine? I believe in sweating it out by dancing and doing yoga. Amongst the dance forms, I practice Zumba and belly dancing for staying fit and healthy. Are you a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian? I prefer vegetarian food and sometime indulge into non-vegetarian food too. Favourite cuisine? I like eating pahadi food; love it because it is steamed. Favourite dish… Any pahadi dish; the steamed dishes contain a lot of ghee. This gives more flavour to the preparation. People say that eating ghee makes one fat, but I take that as a myth. Ghee is extremely good for health. A must on your breakfast table? A cup of milk is a must on my breakfast table. Sugar or sugar-free tea/coffee… I have my coffee with normal sugar. Lunch generally consists of? My lunch consists of a full course meal. Dal, rice, chapatti and vegetable. Consuming lentils is a must for my lunch. Dinner generally consists of? I prefer keeping it light during dinner and stick to eating salad or soup. However, if I am hungry and plan a full course dinner, I make sure I eat my dinner before 8 pm. Dessert delights? Amongst the Indian dishes I love eating rabdi, gulab-jamun, ras-malai and jalebis while amongst the English sweets I like eating the red velvet cheese cake. My mouth is watering now. My favourite drink (non-alcoholic). I generally drink fresh juices. My favourite drink (alcoholic). I am not much of an alcohol person. Most unusual dish I have tasted? I had garlic ice-cream in Los Angeles and it was amazing. Experiment with food… Oh yes. On the streets, I love to have… I eat sandwiches. Since I am more of a health and hygiene person so if I plan to eat paani-puri or some other chaat, I make it at home. Do you cook? My friends compliment me of being a fabulous cook. Fitness tip? To have a perfect body, one must focus 70% on what they eat and 30% on exercise.
