Has Rashmi backed out of Hi Padosi... Kaun Hai Doshi?

Sahara One’s new sitcom Hi Padosi... Kaun Hai Doshi which is all set to launch soon in the primetime slot of 7.30 pm and was almost done with finalizing its cast now apparently faces some ‘lead’ trouble. Popular actress Rashmi Desai currently playing Tapasya in Uttaran was finalized as the lead of the show. Also popular faces like Kader Khan, Muni Jha, Neelu Kohli, and Sejal Shah were roped in to play important roles in the show. Now we hear Rashmi has backed out of the show. Says a source, “Rashmi has backed out of the show as she is already playing a lead in Uttaran and she could hardly find time to shoot for Hi Padosi... Kaun Hai Doshi. The other cast members have already shot many scenes, which did not require the lead.” A new face named Giriraj has been finalized to play the male lead. A daily show, it is basically a comedy of errors, between two families with the same surname. One family is a Punjabi whereas the other is a Gujarati. Despite continuous efforts to reach Rashmi, we could not get her side of the story as she remained busy to answer our calls. Neelu Kohli confirmed her participation in the show, but refused to speak much. Ankur Joshi, Producer of the show, flatly refused to comment on this.
